Back on the road again

Saw LOTS of these

And LOTS of these

There were definitely some nice bikes out getting miles in before the heat hit (103F later on)

Next stop was Lamar, CO.

This building exterior is made completely out of petrified wood, and was apparently on Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

Just down the road was an opportunity to see a cool old train and depot setup

Lots of info on the signs, including one about a disgraceful time in our American history (Japanese “Relocation” centers)

This statute, called the Madonna of the Trail, is one of only 12 throughout the nation honoring the spirit of the pioneer women

Next was an opportunity to see a GE windmill blade up close – it’s definitely huge and they use special trailers to transport them

Finally, I took a look at the some of the historic buildings – it was a neat downtown area
