My current 80+ mile per day commute involves 9 miles of dirt and gravel (we live out in the country). Additionally, I enjoy taking the occasional dirt road just to see where it goes! I thought a tire like this would be a great choice, and all of the reviews I read seemed to indicate the same.

I purchased the Mitas E-07 Dakar tires and had my local shop install them. Lots of guys have the tools and experience to mount and install their own tires…I am not one of them!

These were my first set of “knobby” tires, and as such, I was pretty startled when I hit grooved payment for the first time. I had never felt the “wobble” before, and initially I thought something was way wrong with the way the tires were mounted. I talked with experienced knobby tire owners and they told me that it was perfectly normal, and just a new sensation that I had to get used to on certain road types. It has definitely gotten WAY better as the tires have gotten a few hundred miles on them.

So far I have put about 2,000 miles on the tires and I have to say that I absolutely love them! They feel great in the corners, handle excellent on dirt, great on wet roads, and just ride really well. They are a great value, and I would highly recommend them!
